In 2014, Brighton-SolFed launched a campaign in the hospitality sector in Brighton. Local and migrant workers joined forces in defending themselves against employers’ abuses and bad working conditions in the industry. They developed strategies of self-defence in workplaces and beyond through Mutual Aid and Direct Action. Ten years later, we will hold a discussion with people who took part in the campaign about the experience and what can be learned from it today.
